Re: Had my crm ar for 10 years! Never missed a beat until now!

Hi Steve, yes mostly good thanks. I'm still, [ well when allowed CV19 permitting] kayaking, and enjoying the challenges. My garage is now quite an embarrassment, just one little Honda 110 Wave sitting out there sulking. Now wall to wall kayaks. The little scooter is transport for when white water kay...

Hello, just happened to passing and read this thread. Nobody's mentioned the inlet manifold!!. They are a really well known source of unfiltered and additional air entering the inlet tract, and usually eventually leading to, well the same as above. Good luck.

Re: AR hunting on idle

Hi, from memory, there's an adjuster on the top of the carb, which I think is a left hand knurled screw. T.B.H. though, they nearly all seem to hunt to a greater or lessor degree. Can you hear the the switches open and shutting? theye are just a simple simple ball bearing that seals over the tube. M...

Re: Sprocket Gaurd

From memory, the A.R.s are in a gold colour, whereas the MK2 are in silver.
If you're not to hung up on originality, it's worth drilling holes in the cover to make access for gentle jet wash cleaning that area easier.

Re: A Newbie - with problems!!!

On the right hand casing,is a 10mm headed bolt, near the water pump. This is an oil level indicator, remove it and allow the excess oil to flow out with the bike held upright. When the oil stops flowing out it's at the correct level. They only hold 650ml,some people think adding extra oil helps, it ...

Re: A Newbie - with problems!!!

Hi, not a fork cap come loose is it ? It would be unusual for the oil to leak from the tank onto that area! Is the little hose between the two spigots on the oil tank on the right hand side done up tight? That would only be a small volume of oil though. Even overfilling it shouldn't lead to oil in t...

Re: Water in the gearbox

Drain it off after a couple of rides, if it still looks ok,put it back in again.
That'll soon show how quickly the oil is breaking down.

Re: Water in the gearbox

Well, reading that report made me wince, { i change the oil every 6/12 months   ] Personally, I would change mine every 4 rides, especially if there's been puddles, or stream crossings. Oil is hydroscopic [ absorbs water], and over that time frame will turn to an emulsion. If it's only roa...
