Re: poor idle crm 250 mk1
Had a similar issue myself, cleaned carb, replaced pilot jet but still had idle and starting issues. Cured it by setting the float height correctly. In my experience setting the float height with the carb held upside down gave a false setting as the weight of the float compreses the pin in the valve...

Re: Clutch Actuator Oil Leak
Thanks for the detailed response fur. I'm out on it tomorrow so will watch it closely to make sure it's not loosing too much oil.
I know the oil levels OK, changed it after last outing.
Will clean the breather pipe first though, it does look pretty dirty and oily underneath.
Many Thanks, keith.

Clutch Actuator Oil Leak
I Started my CRM this afternoon, just to give it a warm up as it's not been started for a few months. Parked it back on the side stand afterwards and oil and air start to bubble out from where the clutch actuator enters the crankcase, leaves quite a pool of oil on the floor. No evidence of drips fro...

Re: Rear Brake has no pressure
Sorted
Local bike shop BJ Bikes at Doctors Piece in Willenhall have replacement sets including piston, seals, spring, circlip and dust cover for just £17.50. They don't sell bikes but have spares for just about anything.
Fitted a treat in about 10 mins.

Re: Rear Brake has no pressure
Thanks for all the help guys, I just phoned LT and the seal kit is £46 !!!! I think I'll try pmac's suggestion first. Let us know how you get on westy66. I have a similar problem but with brake fluid leaking from master cylinder. Stripped it and the seals are split. Couldn't believe the £46 quid LT...

Re: Carb Removal
Thanks for the tips. Second time of removal it got a bit easier to shift, just loosened the air box and pushed hard against it. Starting's no problem now I set the float height correctly: If you simply turn the carb upside the little spring loaded plunger on the valve gets compressed, giving a false...

Carb Removal
Is there a simple way of removing the carb? I've replaced the pilot jet but the bike just won't start now. Getting the carb off first time was a swine as the air box just wouldn't move back far enough to give enough of a gap to remove it off the intake rubber. Ended up unbolting the rear subframe to...

Re: Top end rattle/ tapping noise
Same here. Just bought 1991 MK2, noticed similar sound at tickover which seemed to become less frequent as it warmed up. Sounds a bit like pre-ignition, runs quiet with a few revs on though. Haven't had chance to give it a run out yet. How's yours, is it still making the noise or did you find out an...
