hi guys i need a new small end bearing for my bike are they just crm specific so can order one direct from honda or piston specific?

If you go for an xr400 dont do what i did and seize it solid at 80... its slightly scary.. and expensive... and the 15 mile push home in wet boots kind of cheesed me off at the time too.... i still loved it though :lol: did one better than that last summer - bought a CCM R30 ( lovely bikes ) - fitt...

i'll take that off and look tomorrow iv fell of on that side a couple of times :oops: Also Sparky, a little tip from Slider that worked for me 8) Re-route the crankcase breather tube up under the tank, or to the headstock. When the engine gets emersed in water, it causes a vacuum in the crankcases ...

there was also grass behind the seal :? so i should imagine water could have got in there easy

fairly easy jo if yuo have done wheel bearings before and have an idea f what to do :wink:
you will probably find it cheaper to get the wheel bearings from your local bike shop
or a bearing supplier in your area

the engine hasbeen fully submerged in a puddle as it does everytime i go greenlaning on it never had the oil like that before tho i change it every 2/4 weeks its locked up in the garage when its not in use and only i have access to it and i never leave it unnatended as i only use it at the weekend f...

this is the colour of the oil iv drained out today
i only changed it 2 weeks ago

it is the gear shifter seal
had a look earlier its got a little stone stuck in it somehow and pierced it
ordered a new one from lt maybe dearer but easier for me :D
hopefully have it up and runing again by thursday

oil leak

noticed when i stopped today oil was all oer my back tire wheel chain swingarm
it appears to be comig out from inside the front sprocket cover
any ideas what it could be and cost of parts to sort out

bad news there scrubs
i broke mine in real hard and its still goin now
iv done just over 400 miles now since rebuild and its still ok
hopefully its just somethin simple for you
