Re: unleaded or super unleaded??

I'd have to disagree. I've always run my bikes on super unleaded and having used it in a car as well I'd say it definitely runs better. I know it's hardly scientific but I do think it makes a difference after a couple of tanks. Also I seem to remember Audi ran a car with one half of its engine on no...

It'll be interesting to see what the insurance think its worth.
With regards to insurance, I told my car insurance about a bike accident I had and they said it wasn't important as it was on a bike policy and therfore nothing to do with a car. I don't know how it stands legally though.

clutch hub I guess is what you are talking about? It's £70 from leisure trail....
seat covers from danger Uk are £29 for a plain gripper cover.

glad you managed to dodge some of the costs! Shame the bike's not A-OK.

Re: honda crm 250 red 1989 dunstable bedfordshire stolen GUTTED

pretty much how it happened with me. Even though they found my bike only a few miles away from where it was nicked and I could have picked it up and ridden it home, the police still insised on me picking it up form a recovery place and paying £150 for the privilege. I think it was so they could dust...

Re: honda crm 250 red 1989 dunstable bedfordshire stolen GUTTED

if they have got it back, you'll have to try damn hard to recover any of your costs from the thieving litle s**t. I asked about that when I got mine back. I was trying to see if I could get back some money for the recovery fee, taxi home when it got nicked "emotional trauma" etc. I was just trying t...

Re: sticking fork

well I had the forks off when I changed the oil etc so they were done individually. i don't think it's bent or anything as it was fine before I changed them. Being as I followed the same process when changing each of them and one s completely fine I dont really get it. may have to rip them apart a b...

sticking fork

I've just replaced the oil/springs in my mk3 and now one of the forks doesn't feel quite right. It seems as if it is reluctant to rebound after it is compressed. I thought it might be something to do with the new springs/spacers but the other fork leg is fine and they were both fine before I changed...

Re: What type of plastic are CRM fairings?

I have no idea what plastic type the fairings are but I've just used araldite on a crack on the radiator shrouds and have had no problems with it. As far as I remember from my schooldays polymorph isn't a type of glue. It's a thermoplastic that can be melted in hot water or with a hairdryer and shap...

Re: Radiator fitment???

OK cheers, looks like there's some rads on ebay from a "1997 CRM" I assume that's a mk3 or AR beacause of the year so I may invest in them and let everyone know if they are interchangeable between mk3/Ar. also going to compare a friends mk2 against the mk3 when I get the chance and see how different...

Re: Radiator fitment???

KMK1 - you say other bikes rads don't fit but do you know if the rads are interchangeable between different mks of CRM or do they have different mounting points for the shrouds/plastics? I could do with a new rad for a mk3 as mine is a bit squashed. looking around I can only find mk2 rads for sale b...

Re: how do i restrict my crm

fair enough! All the restrictor kit is is a washer that restricts the flow from the carb but they do cost £150ish for the official kit from f1 international (That's what it cost for my R6). Quite expensive for 4 washers and a certificate. so long as you've got some certificate to show the plod shoul...

Re: how do i restrict my crm

just my opinion and it is illegal but its what I did back when I was on the old restricted licence. I didnt bother restricting it! been pulled over many times for a variety of non-existant "reasons" and never been asked about it. If they were to check the power my guess is they'd use a dyno and the ...

graphics templates/dimensions.

does anyone know of a template of the sizes of the graphics kits for the mk3? I know of a local signwriting guy who could possibly make me a couple of sets but I think he'll want some sizes/templates so he knows how big to make them. Had some D&D graphics on my old mk2 but they didn't last as well a...

Re: Hi from Bristol, England

Hi, Glad to see you like my bike! I didn't get it covered in road salt for nothing. As far as SM trim goes I cant really comment too much as I bought mine for greenlaning. Ive got an r6 for the road. Mine came with SM wheels though and I had a brief ride which wasnt too bad. It seemed to take road r...
