have a look on the balance shaft itself - it there is marking where it rests in the bearing thats where your noise is coming from. Mine is the same but I can't be bothered to change it yet. As a mate of mine said though, with regard to the wear on the shaft - if you can feel it you can hear it ! Doe...

John - is it on the water pump case itself ? sounds to me like the bleed hole for the water system. Should be a screw in there (I think with a washer)....

I don't have any ideas based on sound engineering principles, but model aircraft 2 stroke engines won't transition from tickover to full power if the bottom end mixture is out.... that coupled with the fact you seem to have cooked it may suggest you are running way too lean bottom end ???? just a th...

Had a quick look at these and they don't seem to be trapped, but I will re-check. Cheers. Did they have all the details on the settings etc for a CRM shock then ?

Thanks

Oil leak from rear shock ?

Hi All, I was looking at my (under used) Mk2 in the garage yesterday and noticed a small puddle of oil under it. Having done an engine rebuild a few months ago I was worried it was something I had done, but getting underneath the bike and having a look round I *think* it's coming from the rear shock...

I've got no idea what the oil consumption should be but are you sure the pump is definately off a Mk 2 ?? If LT say it's the same then I would say they are right. Poor starting etc would suggest something is not right carburation wise which may be contributing, but may not be. I suppose if you get a...

Try this link - the oil seal can become displaced, though the usual symptom of this is 2 stroke oil coming out of the gearbox breather....

after a strip down I did, mine was leaking from the oil light sender on top of the frame - was a pain in the @rse to sort out as well - ended up bodging it by pulling the plug up a bit, putting sealant round it and pushing it home again. Seemed to do the trick ! I only mention this because it looked...
