Hi, i thought i would let you know that i have found a great bike engineer who repaires rear shocks .Mine had new seals ,gas and oil and a new bump stop for £95.His name is john tremlett motorcycles,and he is in Ashburton,Newton abbott Devon tel 01364 652766. highly recommended

the oil was topped up with new but the old oil was a few years old

yes i did mean he could smell it from his house which is in a street near my house.God this is getting confusing,What if i drained the coolant out and flushed the system,then filled it up with just water and took it for a ride.If it still smells i know its the exhaust.

Thanks for the quick reply,the smell is really strong,my mate noticed it in another street,from my house.I did give it a good thrash before it started to smell,have noticed the smell is also around top of barrel.
