Hi there, had a similar problem on my crm and it turned out to be the rim had split slightly where it's been originally welded from the factory as the rims are originally one piece then bent and welded together, it sounds very similar to your problem, if you look closely at any rim and you can faint...

Hi all,
Got everything back!!!!! My bike got pinched the same night the gang took a bike with a tracker, when the police went round my gas gas was next to it, the crm turned up a week later undamaged. Apparently it's a big gang in Corby. My garage is like fort Knox now!!!!

Cheers mate for posting that, it was my purple AR which I've had for years, cracking bike. The reg was V654 ENU, also a Gas Gas ec 300 went as well, Reg number AR02 HCU in blue, cheeky bastards even went through my tool box and got some tools and took off the exhaust off my aprilia road bike. found what it was and not as bad as i imagined. Took the clutch cover off, then the clutch ( thanks for the tip about the 2 pence piece, worked a treat ) then i removed the gear change rod and all what had happened was the 2 small plungers which engage the gears, a bit like the carbon middle plunger...

thanks for that lads, my first job is to get the bikes out the van and clean them!! need to pull my finger out as we're up to the breacons for 3 days soon. is the selector a fleabay item or leisure trail? thanks

Stuck in 1st gear!!!!
hi all, just got back from a day out on a very muddy viking way, the last couple of miles stuck in 1st gear!! anyone had this, gear lever moves freely also the shaft so its not a faulty gear lever. im thinking it must be the selector fork in the gear box, easy repair?
