The reason why the engine cut out may of been down to the debris from the piston & bore effecting the way she fires or fouling the plug, and because of the ware on the piston & bore gave the conrod the free play to seize up.

Thanks Loki thats a big help, I have one other question I have looked on the oil pump and where the lines are supposed to line up mine does not quite line up its about 2mm before the line, does this mean its getting more or less oil than the standard setting?
