Well, i have solved the problem! After opening the servo motor it looks like the grease in there has become caked up the wires were most likely getting caught and dragging. So i cleaned them up, re-greased the cables and wd-40 the mechanism and motor and walah, no problems and went for 200km ride st...

I havn't done the test yet, tomorrow, but in my mind, as its intermittant, it has to be electrical - ie, either the servo motor is becoming catus or the regulator is becoming catus! If was the plastic teeth in the servo it wouldnt work at all and thats the annoying thing, it works fine 90% of the ti...

Turn signal on lamp
For some reason my turn signal on lamp - next to the high beam lamp has stopped working? I took the bulb out and it is fine along with the wiring? Any quick fixes i don't know about?

Done it...Workedout there is the smallest screw you have ever seen in the trip meter knob you have to get out in order to get the cover off. Clean as a wistle now:)

Instrument cluster cover - How to get it off?
For some reason i have dust accumulated in the speedo which is bit of a problem when trying to read. I noticed in the parts book at the local Honda dealer that the outside of the cluster comes off or is a separate piece, as i thought it was a sealed unit. How do you get this cover off?
