Engines back out and powervalve off, blimey what a mess, been here about half hour with the dremel getting all the caked on soot off. even though it turned relatively freely there was alot there. Have grinded it a tad too just to be safe from catching... Just waiting for my phone to charge up a bit ...

Cheers for the pic, thats one clean motor. Mine looked about the same when removed the engine. I stumped as to why the valve is hitting my piston. thats my main concern. As as far i was aware its set back far enough into the exhaust port to prevent this from happening. There is only 1 piston size fo...

Im not that fussed, was sold with the spare or repairs clause...I know that means i could still have a case but the guy didnt know, the bike still ran absolutey spot on apart from cutting out at idle. 320 in parts and half a days work ive got a bike that will probably see me though all of 2013's gre...

Ok so just finished rebuilding crm motor with new mains, balancer shaft and bearings etc, have put a new piston in aswell. One question, is the powervalve meant to make contact with the piston at all when the cables are not attached, as when my powervalve is below the point of the 2 notches lining u...

Why are you splitting the engine :?: . Drained the gear oil and it was like thick mayonaise! Looks like someone drowned the bike before and left it, gear box was full of clay/mud, wasnt a nice sight at all, also the side casing gasket was just intsant gasket and the water and oil had also been mixi...

As far as i can tell this one has abit more bottom end than i recall. Otherwise the top end seems about the same. Although im stripping it down and have found the carb to be in quite a state !! So will need to sort that 1st. I think the previous owner may of drowned the bike greenlaning then left it...

Am i Being stupid

On my AR the 3 electrical connectors from the stator that need to be removed to allow engine removal... they are mounted on the frame by little tabs, Is the connector block meant to just slide off these tabs as im not having much luck !!

Blimey thats a shock, The guy was based down in torquay. Took a couple of sets of DT wheels down to him, seemed a real nice chap. International-auto-supplies? Him?
