Power compared to a CRF250
Just got a CRF250X nice bike, but if my CRM is supposed to put out 40 bhp compared to a CRF250`s 30 or under! then my CRM is definitely sick, posted here before but it just runs out of steam top end! now I have compared another supposedly lower power bike I know the CRM just doesn`t give anywhere ne...

Re: Gone with the devil! well still Honda
Went out today, first ride on the CRF, bike faultless ran really well, very noisy and lots of need to get used to mechanical noises!, but a very strong engine top suspension, but!!!! not sure if I am just too use to the CRM couch mode! but it seemed at first over the top for what I was doing, the CR...

Re: CRM Forks is it me
Hi knackeredMk1, yes that's what I am thinking, I have had the rear shock rebuilt, and the front forks, bushes and seals, but a upgrade maybe the best way to go, rear end is fine so far but the forks are the limiting factor I think?

Ah KnackeredMk1, that makes sense now, wondered why the size went up and down so much on the specs, its the stanchions not the sliders that these sizes point to!!
Thanks for pointing this out (took me a while to get it)

Re: 3rd ride of the year.
Oh yes that lane can bite, same as Pandy, every time I look at the track back makes me laugh route goes up Badi and then just gives up and comes back down, rode it quite a few times too. As long as you have the bodies and the energy you will be OK, does your head in when you get stuck and people jus...

Re: pic's of my bottom out - suspension overhaul?
I got my rear shock rebuilt, and it made a big difference, instead of the back end jumping about left and right up and down, I could defo feel more what the rear end was doing! and it was way more controlled!! rear shocks are expensive full rebuild cost me £80 so worth a try!

Re: rear brake caliper options; broken bleed nipple
Can`t you drill it out slightly bigger and then just find a bleed nipple with a larger thread, there are plenty of different size bleed nipples to choose from! got to be worth a try, yes on the extractor if that snaps off its wire eroder time to get the hardened steel out!

Re: i fitted 1990 CR 250 forks to my CRM 250 AR today
Excellent I am thinking of this mod myself, AR forks are the same size as a Mk3? are they? what year did the CR forks go bigger than 45mm?
