Re: CRM250 with clean carb but still won't start
Thats correct - not fussed about the money the garage near us only sells the cheap stuff. So I need to go out and get autolube 2 stroke to put in the oil tank in the frame, and not add any to the petrol - is that right?
Thanks

Re: CRM250 with clean carb but still won't start
The oil im talking about is the 2 stroke mix oil - is that what your on about too? I have not touched the engine oil. That would be the semi synthetic oil right? I was always told adding oil to the tank aswell would not harm the bike and is good for piece of mind to make sure the oil is going throug...

Re: CRM250 with clean carb but still won't start
It seems that way - thanks for the help mike! Alan, I am using a cheap 2 stroke motorcycle oil from a petrol station near us. I am also adding it to the fuel so it is smoking quite a bit. Im hoping that this is doing the bike some good! Better to overlube? or is that not helping. Only had the bike a...

A friend said that it could be a faulty spark plug? Still thanks to everybody for the help - I have learnt quite a bit about the bik...

Re: CRM250 with clean carb but still won't start
Im almost certain its not the fuel as if I disconnect the fuel hose from the carb it just keeps flowing freely. If I take the carb off the bowl is full of fuel. I have re checked the carb again and everything is whistle clean and I can see through every hole. Even had led torches through them all to...

Re: CRM250 with clean carb but still won't start
Update - took spark plug out put a little fuel in and got it to fire up again - sounded good for 3 or 4 seconds then died again. If I disconnected the carb but left the hoses connected and kicked it over would I be able to see the fuel coming out of the carb? or is that not possible? Im guessing my ...

Re: CRM250 with clean carb but still won't start
Hi Skidmark, Checked that there was fuel from the tap to the carb (ie taking the fuel line off the carb) and it is running freely. There is no inline fuel filter to block up. Fuel is filling into the carb as when i took it off the second time it was full up! Fuel tap def on as carb filling with fuel...
