So the mk3 passed her ticket yesterday she was a scrapper in Nov now shes mechanically perfect and rather than going for bits another CRM on the streets with tons of life and all under £900 with peace of mind

+1 As Knackered says no movement the needle bearings £26 from LT and as i posted earlier its possible to repair the bearing surface as i have plus the cost of the clutch cover gasket and while your in there take a look at your water pump cost me £60 for the new mechanical seal.

Thats ok Matty remove your generator cover and youll see the balancer just waggle it and you will feel the free play itll be the needle roller surface it dosent get a great oil supply i filled the void with oil when i was rebuilding the engine prior to fitting the roller bearing and also put a very ...

Hey Matty i really meant as a borrow return sort of job if your desperate i could make you one as a one off i changed the shaft/bearing/seal with this in 5 minutes could of taken hours and the shaft repair i had was a success any local engineering shop can grind and replace the bearing sleeve cheape...

Slightly modified knackereds removal shaft tapped the end 6mm and turned a taper fitting for the needle roller OD and turned and parted a piece of alloy for the oil seal so its now a 1 piece tool for complete shaft removal and fitting im lucky i can make theses things anyone struggling PM me and its...

Ended up getting the bearings from LT made the removal shaft on the lathe and miller ta Knackered worked a treat but struggled with the clutch nut after mucho swearing liberated a dewalt rechageable impact driver from work and off in 10 seconds the balancers well chattered on the needle surface but ...

Hi rich dont want u to suck eggs clean n drain the float bowl starting with fuel on top of crap will happen and then shell die sounds more like fuelling to me once you cured the first problem

Hi Mike we run some pretty self destructive machines at work and we went with SKF C3 bearings as a trial 2 years ago and got twice the life out of them running under extreme conditions of 80+ degrees and 2000 psi of pressure so im hopeful they should stand up ill compare prices and post the results ...

Thanx for that i deal with BSL at work and im trying to purchase a heavier duty/better quality needle roller for the balancer probably c3 rated i will post what info i get and an improvement in getting oil to flow through the bearing.

I bought a ccm 640 with big bore supermoto wheels full system etc last year and holed the piston after 500m was sick as a pig good stunter though finding this crm really easy to work on removed the 48t rear and running the 42 it wheelies like a loony tune.

Sounds like we like crms round here guess we have some top places to play with them im just taking the big dent out of the exhaust at the mo ive drilled in from the back and using rounded punches hammered it out and am tig welding a plate over the drill hole where it cant be seen then using halfords...
