[quote="fallenmikethebike"]Screw adjust the compression on the forks, clockwise, makes the forks harder
Anti-clockwise,softer.
By nut, do you mean the large "allen type" nut/bolt? if so, leave it alone, unless you plan on taking the forks completely to bits.

Front forks
Can someone explain in simple terms, when looking at the bottom of the forks, you have a nut and a screw.
Screw does what if turn clockwise?
Screw does what if turned anti Clockwise?
Nut does what if turned clockwise?
Nut does what if turned anti clockwise?
TIA
Cheers John

Clutch Snatching
When l let my clutch out, it is ever out or in, very hand to slip, for a controlled get away, a bugger when stuck on a hill.
Tried adjusting with cable, both ends, the nearest l get, is that clucks into gear. so l assume it is then dragging, slightly engaged.
Any thoughts.
Cheers John

Re: Exhaust Gasket Mk2
[quote="fallenmikethebike"]It would have to a paste type, and they do dry out, on balance just use the gasket, but pull it up evenly.
PS, I always use a couple of Brass, manifold nuts, and 2 per stud, these wont rust, and with 2 on there the stud is mostly covered as well.

Exhaust Gasket Mk2
I just received one from leisure trail, and l can see that it is ally, and gets compress to make a seal.
Question is, is it worth putting some sort of sealant (not sure what???) around it to make sure, so it is not a lottery in getting a good seal?
TIA

You have a PM Boundy, would be interested in any Surrey hants runs.
