What is the difference between Br8eg and BR6es. I take it its some sort of heat range?

The plug is a normal grey/whitish, I will do as suggested and check the plug cap. Not sure I can turn the main lights off as suggested as they seem to be on perminant. As stated it runs fine when the revs pick up. With the BR8Eg it runs fine low down. It ticks over and revs fine at stand still. when...

Not sure what oil is in it at the moment. I will make sure I use semi - synthetic though.

I used the bike to work this morning with a BR8ES and it was spluttering and kicking and fine when revved and pushed hard. Just thinking the problem may well be somewhere else? Carb or possibly a faulty CDI

Just got my Crm250ar today and had my first ride. Wow... it was so good, I've been after a CRM for a while now.
