yeah, 03-07 were the case induction cylinders, but the 05-07 had a more durable exhaust bridge (cracking) and better mid range so I grabbed one off ebay that was replated. yeah dont bother doing it... the hardest thing is finding an aftermarket piston that has the right gudgeon size... there are many other simpler ways to extra more power than that, so its not worth it. how damaged is your bore? could you just get it honed and put an 1st oversize in it +01mm (MK1/2/3 ...

best part is that the vforce3's line up perfectly with the inlet passage in the CR manifold, but dont line up with the CRM manifold.
