Re: Crm250 AR Servo (wire colors)
So, the colors that I mentioned are from the servo motor and the ones you mentioned are for the wiring loom?

Re: Crm250 AR Servo (wire colors)
Thank you very much for the help.
Do you mean that the wires change color at the servo mechanism fitment?

Crm250 AR Servo (wire colors)
Hi.
Can someone help me out with the colors of the wires that come out of the servo mechanism?
I believe colors should be:
1)Pink
2)White-Black
3)White-Green
4)Red-White
5)Blue
Is it possible for someone to have a look?
Though a schematic with wiring colors would me more helpful...

Re: our friend in Greece
Well, there is not real interest on AR Pgm repairs so I'm not sure I will keep this service forever... Most probably I will have to close the ebay transaction in the forthcoming weeks and if a member has issues with his Pgm unit, he can directly pm me through this board. Sorry, but I'm answer...

Re: our friend in Greece
Thanks for that. Actually, I wouldn't be able to repair AR PGM units if I didn't have the help of a couple UK crm250 owners. Their Pgm units and the help on wiring colors and servo measurements was determinant... along with their stubbornness to accomplish the repair. P.s Still haven't managed...

Re: Speedo's - Standard vs. Digital (Trailtech, Koso etc etc)
I've used both KOSO and Trailtech and I highly recommend the last one... All of the digital gauges use a magnet on the front wheel that triggers the speedo unit. You will have to screw a sensor on the front caliper and the magnet on the disc brake, no big deal, all of them come with instructions and...

Re: No signal from CDI (PGM) to the coil wire.
It's best to connect your "suspect" unit up to another bike to evaluate it's condition. Doing the opposite could result in TWO blown PGMs, and an EX good friend. Mike That's a good point thanks for correcting me. On the other hand this is particularly true for a PGM unit that has a blown out power ...

Re: No signal from CDI (PGM) to the coil wire.
I haven't found a suitable thinner that works well with this particular PGM unit. I remove the front panel and go straight to the problem using x-acto knives and watch screwdrivers. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jaeNj5-BgY8/TLYCIziBCzI/AAAAAAAAAOs/yEO24nlHDDY/s1600/Crm250+PGM.JPG Good luck with the repa...

Re: No signal from CDI (PGM) to the coil wire.
Check easy things first, like the kill switch, ground problems etc Then test the generator coils and proceed to the reg/rec before actually blaming the PGM unit. A borrowed ECU unit will help a lot on your tests. The capacitors and thyristors on CDI units usually blow out but it's not easy to inspec...

Re: Powervalve question
I might slightly misunderstood the first post. lccpmj, do you mean that when slightly blipping the throttle the exhaust valve moves clockwise. :?: I can think a couple reasons for that, I think. :? I have seen similar problems with bikes that have electrical issues. The electric power at idle is not...

Re: engine set up and tuning
Stan Stephens is doing a great job and that counts for Mick Abbey and Bob Farnham, too. Though, I wouldn't like to compare any of them with Eric Gorr nor make a personal statement about the who is best "debate". ;) Talking about books, I have a couple links for pdf files, let me know if anyone is in...

Re: engine set up and tuning
There are a couple interesting books you might want to check. 1) Eric Gorr (2004), Motocross & Off-Road Performance Handbook, 3rd edition, Motorbooks, ISBN 0-7603-1975-8, 224pp 2) Eric Gorr (2008), Mini Motocross & Pit bike Performance Handbook, Motorbooks, ISBN-13: 978-0-7603-2869-5, 160pp. I own b...

Re: Powervalve question
I've checked the FAQs but no joy. My powervalve moves clockwise when you blip the thottle, at certain revs(over 2/2.5K) it then changes and goes anti-clockwise to what looks like fully open at full throttle. Is this normal? Yes, it's normal. The exhaust valve has a certain cycle and closes or opens...
