Sorry Bargos,

in response to you asking if it were running ok b4 I put the new cable in , yes it was.

I need to trace the cable back to the throttle now.

Am I ok in cable tying my coil to the frame to stop it flapping about at 150mph?

Thanks for the info guys. I had a look last night at my carb slider and nothing seems amiss. Its funny how it only seemed to want to rev progressivly higher each time I blipped the throttle once I knocked the choke off and the engine was warm? Whats the quickest way of stopping the engine if it revs...

Hi Jackstribe,

thought the slide was pretty much foolproof to install incorrectly. There are pins in the carb body to line the slider up with??

Pingin its ed off

Alreet? I had a right turn this afternoon. I put a new throttle/oil pump/carb cable on my mk 2. Set my pump up as it says in the book (at full chat the lines on the pulley should line with the pointer). I started it and warmed it up (stationary) and then knocked the choke off. Soon after it decided ...

Mileage expected to a full frame of 2 stroke oil on a Mk2

Those site glasses for the current level of 2 stroke oil are a waste of time once it redudes below the visible level.

What mileage can I expect from full to empty of 2 stroke oil on a Mk2?

Any ideas?

Reet Bargos, you asked how I gewt on wi my new coil. Well I put it on and we are up and running. I took this opportunity to put my dep pipe on an all. Coil Dep pipe and adjusted float height has made this mk2 a totally different beast. It will hoist its front wheel up in the air in first on the thro...

neet fuel coming out of the exhaust

Any idea what can be causing the above on a mates Mk1 CRM250? We have checked the float height and adjusted accordingly. He also checked his reeds and were ok too. The problem started when he got water in the carb. It smokes a lot off choke and spews black oil onto the swing arm!! Any advice for the...

Thanks for the advice guys. I don't have a cut off switch fitted. It didn't have one when I bought it?? I do have one waiting to be fitted though. What makes me think it is the coil is the really peculiar joint in the middle of the HT lead involving a screw thread screwed into the coil side of the l...
