okay thanks or the help :), and how much would you want for the mechanism?

hiya, i have a mk2 crm 250 and when i try kick start it, it feels like it grips then slips, but it doesnt spring back up either, but the teeth on the spindle, and the on kick start are fine :/
ive taken the mechanism out and cant see anything wrong with that either, please help :|
