engine is mark one, frame is mark two, does it matter?

i dont think the powervalve works on my crm, when you take the cover off and rev the engine nothing happens, i tried to open it by moving it with a screwdriver, it moved but once i started the engine it closed and stayed closed, i am used to yamahas ypvs system so i dont know how the honda one works.

where should the engine number be?

got it going, new plug and pilot jet, runs pefect, front forks ok, back shock buggered, rear brake buggered, easy to ride with lots of low end power

blimey that was quick, thanks for that, i should get it running tomorrow, once i do i am going for full rebuild, do you know anyone who has an ignition switch/speedo/idiot lights?

does anyone know what the engine numbers are for mk 1 and mk2 crm250?
i got a mark 2 crm but when i checked the carb it has jetting for a mark 1.
i want to know if has an earlier engine or the wrong carb.
is there any difference between the engines?

can the rear shock be rebuilt? wheres the best place for discs/pads?

just brought a mk2 crm250, bit of a heep,but i plan to keep it and restore it, it is a bugger to start but i think that maybe the piolet jet, where is the best place to buy spares. i need a speedo,ignition switch,switch gear,chain guard,new piolet jet
