Re: Another jet-question...
Hi Carbguy, I am also running a large TRX piston and had problems with is running oddly rich and not pulling so well above 3/4 throttle, so I decreased my jets to a 40/140. This is way smaller than your current jets. If you live in a hot climate, I would have expected you to decrease jet size, as ho...

Re: pic's of my bottom out - suspension overhaul?
Yup- you were rubbing your ass in the dirt there Mart! I don't think I have ever managed to 'bottom out' like this on mine and I do a fair bit of jumping- mind you most old CRM's aren't really set up for this abuse.. I put new springs & thicker oil in my front and have a lifting 'dogbone' link on my...

Re: Oil shower!
Petrol wash out first- to rid the oil, then dry thoroughly & caustic soda- (drain cleaner often has this in it) - be careful of the alkali fumes- don't breathe them!! Remove & re-pack wadding correctly & new head/exhaust gaskets.

Re: Asked this before - AR front running lights
Mine has had 'running lights' since I got it, but I assumed it had been done as a DIY job. Is it the standard set-up for the Mk 3 CRM?

Re: CRM Mk3 Loses Power
Hiya Steve- seems we share a similar problem (pulling like a train up to 4th grear, then a seeming lack of power in 5 & 6 with no apparent reason). I fiddled with my gear selector sensor this weekend and also put my 150 main jet back in- in the hope that it may somehow change the problem. I couldn't...

Re: Power/No power...
Not sure Mart- I have tried a few things. I will disassemble and check the gear selector wires and the ECU connector this weekend. I will also go back to starnard jetting and see what happens. Can't be compression- I have just rebored...

Power/No power...
So here's the thing- 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th gear fine- loads of power all the way through to the red line. From 5th onwards, she just bogs down from 1/4 throttle onwards... I have had the carb apart more times than hot dinners- new jets and tang heights set... Plug is chocolate brown on a plug chop, so ...

Re: powervalve
Strange- I had a run-in with a DT200 a few weeks ago and it couldn't touch me....
Power-valve connected through the throttle cable, now that's a weird concept that wouldn't work IMHO (that's why we have the black box of tricks under the seat!). Sounds like a do-it-yourself job.
