my mk2 used to do that, it was (i think) the powervalve 'chattering' as it started to open, i say think as it sounded like it was coming from up high on the front of the engine and it certainly wasnt the piston/barrel etc as i had it apart to check and all was well, i just ignored it and it didnt ge...

no thats not mine mate, mine was going to have the union flag decals but iv found something else that i really really need so it has to go,
not too worried if it doesnt mind, it is a cracking little bike :)

yeah i have found one, its a white plastic wheel with 19t and it has a smaller wheel on t'other side - sound about right ??

is it the plastic wheel/cog that fits onto the pump your after or another that drives that ?

Check out the likely insurance cost first though. The hunting on the road does eventually drive you mad,I had the same on a KDX 200. mine does that if i leave it for a few weeks, i just put it in gear and rock it with the clutch pulled in, it might take a good few 'rocks' but it normally does the trick :)

hahaha i know, i had 1 back in the 80's which spent more time steaming than riding :D

i was wondering about fitting 2 rads to it - crm/cr poss ?? gotta be do able with some gaffa tape and cable ties surely :)

i think i'll be ordering 2 fans anyhow, one for each........ just to be safe :)

good stuff cheers guys :) it doesnt overheat..... at least it hasnt yet anyway, i was just going to fit one 'just incase' as it will be doing alot of slow (very slow prob :lol: ) greenlane stuff, nowt too tricky as i dont bounce as well as i used to :shock: good news is the ole crm is going to stay ...

thanks for all the advice,

just one last thing, is there any reason why an xr400 shock wouldnt fit as they seem interchangable with the 250 or is it just a case of miss matched damping/ springing etc ????

cheers i hadnt seen that!! i cleaned some of the crud off mine and it has a sticker on it saying .......BE ? OR made in spain, theres a ? coz the sticker has a bit missing lol !! im assuming (after a quick google) that BETOR shocks are just a cheap replacement as it has no remote res etc ? it seems ...
