Re: Re: Rough running crm250 mk3
I assume you meant the power valve cover?
You need to check the power valve lines up properly I think.

Re: Carb cleaned
The clear pipes are attached to either side of the carb, from what I have been told these are air vents, whether air goes in or out is beyond me though but they affect carburation. The view was that crud or water could enter these pipes in their standard position. Therefore I was advised by the more...

Re: Carb cleaned
This may help someone, I linked them together and then took the pipe into the air box, seemed an ideal place to be and shouldn't get bunged up in there, thanks for the tip in any case. http://i768.photobucket.com/albums/xx322/longmoreuk/parts/78140A70-2948-4D0A-8AF0-F8F07FC0013C_zpschvkepfo.jpg http...

Re: Carb cleaned
Maybe I have a diff workshop manual then.
Thanks for the information, will take a look and try to visualise. I can't remember what pipes go where in standard guise at the moment though!

Re: Carb cleaned
Yes it's a mark3. Although the carb bore little resemblance to the Crm workshop manual I found.

Re: Carb cleaned
Thanks, that is interesting. Will leave it though as I plan to upgrade the exhaust when I can source one so upping the main jet at that point would be sensible. Of course, I may need to adjust the needle as I have taken the clip up one but suspect it was only running rich due to the main jet now I k...

Re: carb tubes
I appreciate everything you said. Great advice however for now I will just replace like for like in terms of where they go as I will only do something wrong. Your right though, I would have asked more and the water pipes do look scabby. I need to get it back together though and running right as I ha...

Re: carb tubes
Silicon is inherently heat proof isn't it? It's only the overflows I am talking about, I am leaving the water pipes. When I was removing the carbs I removed one of the water pipes and was shocked to see coolant! Now I know why it's there! i will just leave it as Honda meant it to be as I can't reall...

Re: carb tubes
I was only asking about renewing the pipes. .........not where to put them etc but the advice is welcome.
Found out some aquarium air line. Silicon clear pipe which looks like it will do a nice job!

Re: carb tubes
Thanks, can see it pained you to fill me in! FAQ's take longer than asking the question! Sorry! Will attempt to get the right stuff and route the tubes as you have recommended.
Thanks again!

carb tubes
There are a number of tubes running to and from and around the carb. Most are in poor condition so I would like to renew them. Anyone know where I can get a set from? or an alternative. I know I could just measure and buy but some of them seem to be pre shaped. Need to clean up my carb and air filte...

Re: New bikes
Put details in a new thread as this was going off point.
After going on those bikes yesterday I can hardly walk now! The chap at the trials stand said I was bending my legs too much and they would burn! He was right!

Re: New bikes
I will check the gearing first. New plug already in. Tried to decoke the expansion chamber but haven't done the silencer - Had put a wanted up on here for an exhaust in case its that. To be honest I think the exhaust is probably ok. Reeds are beyond my knowledge at the moment. Powervalve - have take...
