And she runs too now. Sweet as a nut. Thanks again to awesome forum members. Sometimes it's as much moral as technical support
Any ebay links for those waterproof plugs Active Rascal? Neat trick with the dummy plugs.

Re: Will my AR ever spark again?
She sparks! Sidestand bypass seemed to have been done fine. Used a wire to bridge the killswitch wire at the connector and - Lo, she sparketh again! I plugged the killswitch in again and still sparks. I think the problem was the killswitch connector. Had a lot of extra tape around it, but I think di...

Re: Will my AR ever spark again?

Re: Will my AR ever spark again?
Thx Active Rascal. Bike arrived with no side stand switch. Still bit puzzled about bypassing kill switch as it has three terminals? Not sure how to test condenser and capacitor? Just replace?

Will my AR ever spark again?
Thanks to Gregorius for helping me believe in my ignition coil (although I wish it was simply fooked and I knew all I needed to do was send a ton more of money up to LT :o for a new one) So here’s the deal: - Magneto must be working because I’m getting the neutral light on kicking over - Tried three...

Correct Ignition Coil Readings
Anyone help me on the reading for my primary coil? The manual says 0.1 - 1.0 ohms in one place '0.0 - 0.4 or less' in another. I'm getting 1.9 on the primary coil on mine. The manual specs sound low. Anyone able to shed some light?
Thx

Re: Help! I killed my CRM250 on its first outing!
Hi helisupp, couple of carbs on the shelf sounds like a good way to go. I'm on Hants/Surrey border so bit of a trek. But thanks for the offer - I'll see how I get on - might take you up.

Re: Help! I killed my CRM250 on its first outing!
While I'm at it (2nd carb strip). . . I hope I might be able to cure something else and I'd be interested if anyone has had this issue too. The bike has good low-down power but a mid-engine speed, mid-high load mis-fire. It has so much top-end that at first I wasn't put off by this, but the more I r...

Thanks Hellisup. I don't think the lever wants to move, so looks like the carbs coming off again. . .

Re: Help! I killed my CRM250 on its first outing!
Hi guys, I'm back on (or should that be off?) the road! Got the piston that Knackered Mk1 pointed out on eBay (thanks for the steer) which took just a few days to arrive from Greece, and HertsMX did the rest. An enginering 'anal' (their words :? ) mate of theirs re-built that bust water elbow that f...

Thanks guys - some choices there. I was beginning to think that I would have to try to carve one from wood.

Re: Help! I killed my CRM250 on its first outing!
Latest: Barrel re-chromed - HertsMX can't find a piston. Leisuretrail don't have an AR piston and all Herts' other contacts have failed to turn one up.
Can anyone help? Know where I can get an AR piston?!

Re: Help! I killed my CRM250 on its first outing!
Hi guys, Quick update on my AR: It went off to Herts MX on the reco. of a friend. They've sent the cylinder off for re-chroming but think that apart from that and a new piston all is good. Hope to back on(off!) the road in a couple of weeks, so hopefully might be able to make the 'Devils Punchbowl C...
