Re: Replacement for CRM (now that it's been nicked)

Yeah my mate rides a Pampera - and I've had a go. Good bike but not really up there with the crm, imo. Nice to have the luxuries on the crm even if they make it heavier - idiot lights, speedo, etc. etc.

The Pampera is very basic.

Replacement for CRM (now that it's been nicked)

My bike was stolen last week. More details can be seen here: http://www.crm250.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=9770 Ideally I would like to get another CRM. Mine was a mkI in very tidy condition with one previous owner and 18k km on the clock, cost me £1250 last year. Came with a thick wad of paperwo...

Re: £500 reward for my stolen mkI CRM

Yeah I hear yer. Might be time to fit a couple of cameras outside. Even "dummy" ones would probably have the desired effect - or at the very least, act as a deterrent for some of the more easily spooked tea leaves.

Re: £500 reward for my stolen mkI CRM

Cheers man. Wouldn't be quite so shite if these bikes were a bit easier to get hold of but of course, being grey and a bit long in the tooth, finding a decent one can take a while. And it might be me being a bit unimaginative, but I can't really think of another bike quite like the crm. Don't wanna ...

Re: £500 reward for my stolen mkI CRM

Yeah. Thief came in the house, managed to find the key in the kitchen cupboard. Me and the kids (7 and 8 y/old) were upstairs. What if one of them came down for a glass of water or something - disturbed them and got stabbed or something. Doesn't bear thinking about. And takes the incident to a far m...

Re: Got my CRM today - had to push it 20 miles home : - (

Okay - been out and about a bit more. I am going to try and describe in more detail the bike's symptoms. Some of this is repetition so please excuse stuff I''ve mentioned previously. It starts easily - both cold and hot. It idles contentedly once warm, and at all times. It sounds well when idling. S...

I'll convert the conservatory into a spinal unit and get plenty of Preparation H in.

Was out on the crm all morning - am rapidly learning to spend as much time up on the pegs as possible, knees gripping the tank, etc.

Re: Got my CRM today - had to push it 20 miles home : - (

Any day, as long as I get a bit of notice. Would much prefer decent weather though. But yeah - I can pretty much do any day if I get a few days warning. ; - ) Please note, though, that I'm a fair way off the A59 - in a village called Seaton Ross. Not sure if that makes it all too inconvenient. Hope ...

Re: Got my CRM today - had to push it 20 miles home : - (

Suffice to say you're more than welcome too, rich. Have to say though, I wouldn't want to ride too far on a CRM. My arse was not best pleased after two hours in the saddle last night. : - ( In other news I've contacted the local branch of my TRF so hopefully that will bear some fruit. Apparently the...
