Re: Clutch issues and more...

Hi Jim, Thanks for the update. Greg sent me bits, second hand arm and rod and installed and clutch has already improved (seems to have taken some slack out of operation), just going to try some different spare clutch cables I have to see if I can reduce amount of adjustment required to top and botto...

Re: Clutch issues and more...

Ah Ha - This is starting to make sense, possibility I may have an early rod and/or pull arm as the bike does have other earlier MK 2 parts fitted as I think someone was drawing parts off another earlier model spare bike to keep it going as when we bought it it came with a high residual of Mk2 spares...

Re: Clutch issues and more...

Hi Knackered, Good to hear from you. Back in the saddle again trying to finally fix my Son's CRM as it has languished as an abandoned project in the shed for some time now. I seem to be struggling to get the clutch to clear without using all the available adjustment at both ends of the clutch cable ...

Re: Clutch issues and more...

Hi Jim,

Appreciate this is an old thread, but having very, very similar problems with clutch clearance issues, did you try the longer rod modification? Did it work??

Advice appreciated as I am getting to the end of my tether with this one!

Regards,

David

Re: Hi from Perth, Aus

Hi N8, Hope you enjoy your new bike. Try cmsnl.com for the oil tank, should be part number 55101-KAE-770 for an AR model - I think they are 32 Euro's plus the post. Please satisfy yourself part number is right as I don't want to be responsible for wrong part going half way round the world! All best,...

Re: Hi from Perth, Aus

Hi, I accidentally ordered an AR oil tank for a MK3 and then found it would not retrofit to my cost!! Not to worrry as I managed to sell it on e-bay and recover most of the dosh. I got it from CMS if you go in on cmsnl.com and try 55101-KAE-770 they still seem to have stock at 32 Euro plus post. If ...

Re: Help With Honda Engine Oil Seal Identification

Hi KnackeredMk1,

Thanks for the advice, haven't split the engine that far down, so that makes sense now.

Re: New (old) bike CRM250 MK3 1994

Hi guys,

Thanks for info and words of wisdom. I'll keep and eye on parts coming up for sale as I think I'll be in the market for a few!!

I'll get some pictures on when I can fathom out how to.

Cheers,

New (old) bike CRM250 MK3 1994

Hi, My son bought a CRM 250 MK3 about a couple of months ago - originally had a Yam DT125 which he sold when he passed his test and went to a Suzuki DRZ 400 SM and now wants to come back to a bigger 2-Stroke . I'll try to add a picture if I can work out how to - techno fear :o It was bought as a bit...
