Re: Ride around NE Italy last weekend

Yea I agree, it really does. I've heard this tire does even better when you air it down a bit before off roading. I even bought a nice hand pump to keep in my pack to reinflate for that purpose, but I never air it down because I'm too lazy to pump it back up each time I need to make a highway stretc...

Re: Ride around NE Italy last weekend

It's a Pirelli MT43 trials tire. I read a lot of positive reviews on it over on advrider and decided to try it out. I use the bike for commuting also so it rides a lot smoother than the knobby I had on there before. Doesn't do so great in deep mud obviously but it's been fine everywhere else. Sent f...

Ride around NE Italy last weekend

Lots of fog but no rain. Tons of wide open areas, jumps (refer to the state of the license plate), mud, and tight squeezes. http://i63.tinypic.com/dlrwb7.jpg http://i65.tinypic.com/mt9ent.jpg http://i66.tinypic.com/2a7zrzm.jpg http://i64.tinypic.com/r7udu8.jpg http://i67.tinypic.com/2rrqe6u.jpg

Re: Longest rides you've taken

I usually carry a fuel bottle with me just to get me to a station when I start to run low. The bike drinks the 2T oil though, that stuff disappears fast

Re: Longest rides you've taken

With that gear ratio could you hold at 110 or so for an extended period or would the bike be screaming?

Re: Longest rides you've taken

I'm pretty sure I have stock gearing, maybe even higher. I'm not home to be able to check currently but it's not bad at highway speeds

Re: Longest rides you've taken

This is my first bike and I honestly had no idea this bike was as reliable as I've read on here. It's great to hear that other members are able to ride them long distances with zero issues. I live in NE Italy and am planning to drive to Croatia in a few months and that's only 2 hours away, but will ...

Re: Longest rides you've taken

Very reassuring to hear. Have you had any problems riding that far?

Re: Longest rides you've taken

What exactly does choking it while decelerating do? Does it just ensure that the engine is still getting lubed when your'e off the throttle?

Re: Longest rides you've taken

That's great to hear. I still haven't become fully acquainted with the bike so I've been hesitant to take it too far away. Do you have to do anything special with the jetting, or is at simple as fueling up and taking off?

Longest rides you've taken

What's the longest ride you've taken on your CRM? What's the longest ride you'd be comfortable taking? I'm trying to freshen up some parts on my MK2 and add a few bags for a multi-day camping trip this winter. I've taken it on a few hour-long jaunts through the country side with zero problems...this...

Re: bike impossible to start after dropping it

Thanks for the link. Very helpful. I plan to try out the 8s when I'm able to ride it again and I'll move on to the 7s if they don't seem to be helping

Re: bike impossible to start after dropping it

Sweet, I'll read up on those in the FAQ. I'm currently out of the country for work but when I return I'm planning on freshening up the top end, new air filter, new plug, and a Pro Circuit silencer. Maybe that will help things out. I appreciate your input
