I have something similar to the above. Makes the job easy and less likely to damage something. Might be worth checking the thread sizes, but the one I have, has fitted various other bikes.

Re: 250AR - Help needed to establish wiring loom routing

This is from a MK3, but its probably the same/simular on the AR. It's not a great photo, but it show which way the cable goes around the shock. The frame should have a metal lug that the plug fixes to, so its not floating about (you can just make out another metal lug under the blue plug). I have so...

Re: End of my tether

I can't remember how the idle screw works on these carbs. Does it just lift the throttle slide when it is screwed in? Almost defiantly you will need the o-ring.

Re: Chinese carbs

I haven't tried one I'm afraid and I'm not sure I would bother either. Where about are you? Why not use the money for a new carb to get someone to look at it for you.

Re: Clutch

Do you mean the outer basket which fits over the clutch plates or the inner basket which fits under the plates?

Re: MK1 CRM and XR 250 fork lengths

I didn't thing the mk1 and mk2 forks where interchangeable without changing the triple clamps.

Do the mk1 and mk2 share the same frame?

Re: Engine cuts out when put in gear

Sounds like the side stand switch is faulty. Its quite easy to bypass, not sure if they are still available.

It looks like that part isn't available separately. You will have to find a 2nd hand pump and rob it of the part you want.

Re: Blind auction buy

The triple clamps don't have a hole for the ignition barrel, the barrel is mounted on a bracket mounted to the underside of the clamps. These are the only pic of the clamps I have to hand. https://i.ibb.co/XkQgqjj/DSC-0029-1.jpg https://i.ibb.co/4R1HMRM/DSC-0037-1.jpg What size are the cr forks you ...

It might be worth doing a bit of a search on here, there is loads of info about wheels, starting here, http://www.crm250.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=5556 These bikes are getting old now, so its becoming difficult to get decent rims which aren't rotten under the rim tape. I ended getting new rims ...

Is this the part you are looking for? CMS are a little expensive now since brexit, so its probable worth running the part number off there site with some UK suppliers.

Re: Hi there

Hi,

Welcome to the forum. I think the mk2s look the best. Good luck with the rebuild.

Nice to see a little flurry of new members recently.
