Re: Waterpump Tool

Hi there, welcome to the forum!

Nice idea for the tool. It took long time to design it?

I was using old t-shirt to hold the gear and used ratchet gun gently.

Good luck with rebuild

LT power valve cables

Hello all, I've bought Leisure Trail power valve cables. It's regarding the cable with adjuster nut, not with a spring. My bike is Mk3. Cable is aftermarket, not Honda. I installed it and tried to adjust it, but it seems cable is too long and I couldn't adjust it to take up the slack. So ended up fi...

Re: Help with crankcase bearings

Hi guys! I was taking pictures, but you know how it is- at that time wasn't thinking it's important. I knew I could call engine builder at LT on Saturday, (I will call) but couldn't wait and fitted it the other way beause figured oil seal will seal oil and water pump seal at the impeler will seal wa...

Re: installing piston rings

The difference was on used uncompressed rings in picture 1. I fitted new rings in the bore and could slide 0.279mm feeler gauge. So assume ring gap is correct (0.4-0.5 bore size). But what about the piston rings? Now I am starting to think it doesn't matter which way because rings are simple square

installing piston rings

Hi there, I have a question about the piston rings - which way to install them. LT supplied Teikoku piston rings. One of them have letter "T" and a number 50 on one side. This will go top side. And presumably in the top groove. But other one doesn't have any markings and both sides looks the same. C...

Re: Central Wheels -unbelievable!

Get to know proper terminology. :) In first instance nipples were zinc plated steel (cheaper, dull color) and I was offered nickel plated brass (shiny) instead. After sending wrong size spokes and not admiting their fault only after speaking with director/owner Richard they sent right ones. And Rich...

Re: Help with crankcase bearings

So Leisure Trail just clarified that bearing 14 is Input shaft bearing and 15 - Output. Now just need to know which way the waterpump seal goes in...

Help with crankcase bearings

Hello all! Today I was fitting crankcase bearings and encountered 2 problems. Hopefully someone can help me. 1) Which way water pump seal goes into crancase? The one underneath the water pump bearing in a right crankcase. Does it seal water from the oil or oil from the water? https://www.flickr.com/...

Re: Balance shaft replacement (AR)

Sorry, forgot to ask: Is that original expansion chamber you was working on or the one in a video? Because I have quite a big dent too and would like to get rid of it, but heard that it wont work on originals because of double walls

Re: Balance shaft replacement (AR)

Thanks for the pics gregorious77. My balance shaht is not too bad I think. Here is a clearer picture: https://www.flickr.com/photos/129446366@N02/16468251357/ It was me who was bashing the crankshaft... :) Funny I send crankshaft to LT few days ago (together with a cylinder to rebore) but they calle...
