Re: Oil Sump Cracked - URGENT Help Please!

Splitting the case would be essential to repair it properly. You will have to make sure the gasket face is flat once the broken bit is joined back in. Welding might be a last resort if nothing else works. I had some "welding rods" for aluinium but they were more like a pig alloy that soldered the al...

Re: Main bearings

The hard part is splitting the case and being able to get the gearbox back together with everything in the right spot. Not impossible but it does take a bit of attention to detail and some fiddling to get it all right. And you have to make sure the bearings have the right clearance. I think it is C3...

Re: CRM-250 MK2 - In Australia

Hi davecee92,

I had the graphics printed up locally in Sydney. A friend of mine has a printing business, he should still have the files if you wanted some printed up. Let me know if you want to find out more.

Re: MK2 with Aprilia Parts (In Progress)

Hi Mekros, I'm in the Sydney region. The bike sold yesterday but I still have all the motard gear to sell seperately. That includes; * Front and Rear 17" Aprilia wheels (tyres are on them but down to the wear indicators), * Front four piston caliper, * Front brake caliper adapter, * Chain to suit (i...

Re: Clutch removal to access kickstart

That shouldn't affect the clutch operation as they bottom out on the pillars they screw into on the clutch hub, that way the springs are always assembled at the same fixed height. Are all the plates in the right order and direction? Maybe check that the springs are sitting down flat and not caught o...

Re: MK2 with Aprilia Parts (In Progress)

Unfortunately (for me) I have come to the stage where I have decided to sell the bike and the motard conversion, either separately or in a package. I love riding the bike and think it is also an awesome motard. I still want to do EFI on it but I can develop that on just a motor by itself then put it...

Re: CRM-250 MK2 - In Australia

Got around to changing the front wheel bearings the other week. The seals weren't too bad but I took down the dims so I they can be replaced next time. The seals were; 24 x 37 x 7 = TC12456, 41 x 50 x 5 = ?? One bearing was OK but the second felt rough. http://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p464/long28...

Looks fantastic. I'm a big fan of black wheels and black frames.
The escort looks tidy too.

Re: Engine Compression- how many PSI or BAR it should be?

Try and get a voltmeter on the 12V output as well.
If you are seeing a fault (the lights coming on) as you increase the revs the regulator may not be regulating the voltage to the correct level which can damage the electronics in the PGM.

Re: MK2 with Aprilia Parts (In Progress)

And I was finally able to get out and ride the bike. 8-) http://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p464/long283/P1010588_zpskf8kkkl9.jpg The gearing was about right and the cush-drive, although it had a slightly strange squishy feeling in the drive, made the engine a lot smoother on the road and took away ...

Re: MK2 with Aprilia Parts (In Progress)

Ive noticed quite an improvement in braking on my bike since i replaced the stock hoses for new braided ones. Id say they would be well worth the investment :) Hi Sean, I replaced the brake lines when I had my Fireblade with braided lines and hardly noticed any improvement but that was because the ...
