Re: Going to compression test bike
Thanks for that Mike, would the cold engine versus warm engine have a big difference?
Why do you test with the fuel on if it's not going to be igniting it?
Sorry for all the questions

Going to compression test bike
I've read that 150 psi is the normal but what is cut off point for bike needing work? Does it work like that? If mine say was 112 would that mean it's time to investigate? Also the kit I've bought looks like same thread isn't as long as the spark plug thread is that going to make a difference to my ...

Seat retrimming, which staple gun?
Those of you who have retrimmed your seats can you tell me if you've used electric or air staple guns?
Also what staples work best, seen a few guns which can do staple/nails which would be nice as dual purpose
Thanks

Re: Newbie oil pump adjustment query
Sorted it Mike, for some reason it had something like a roll pin over the throttle cable at top near brake lever. It wasn't allowing full adjustment so I shortened that and it's fine now.
Must have had a longer cable fitted to it or something
Thanks for your help

Re: Newbie oil pump adjustment query
Cheers for help Mike
I can hear the bottoming out in the carb.
I'll pull tank off and go from there then, I've only touched the throttle cable at the carb end.
Sure it's something daft, but know how important oil settings are don't want to damage engine

Re: Newbie oil pump adjustment query
You mean the brass nut on the throttle cable as oil pump seems to have normal steel ones.
Both cables look pretty new to be honest
I seemed to have trouble setting the throttle cable would it affect it? Maybe I've got that wrong

Newbie oil pump adjustment query
Hi everyone I've looked at leisure trail guide on this and I must be doing something wrong. I cant get the alignment correct whichever way I turn the adjuster Is something else wrong? I've had carb off and cleaned due to a blocked pilot jet, I think I got throttle cable set, would that affect it? So...
