I didn't thing the mk1 and mk2 forks where interchangeable without changing the triple clamps.
Do the mk1 and mk2 share the same frame?

I've recently fitted MK1 CRM forks to my MK2 CRM but as the steerer tube on the MK2 is longer than the MK1 now that I've fitted the forks the front end is now lower than it was originally. I've read that Honda XR 250 forks are a much better fork than MK1 CRM forks and also a straight swap.
