Re: Blind auction buy

So after more than 7 months of reading, testing, searching, buying etc, we have completed MK3.
Just need to mount a headlight and get an mot.
Would love to post a picture but it seems only God can do so on this forum 😱😱

Re: Fresh MK3 build

Hi,

Been a while but we have been chipping away at the MK3.
We have everything except a wiring loom.
Tried to make a MK2 loom work with a MK3 pgm but it is different.

Are there any MK3 looms out there???

Re: Fresh MK3 build

Hi Dave, Cheers for the very comprehensive reply. I'd be very interested in the oil tank if you can find it. I have an expansion bottle from an AR, which was labelled as a MK3. It looks exactly like the expansion bottle that sits behind the radiator on my MK3, except the plumbing is different. I can...

Re: Fresh MK3 build

Hi, Build progressing slowly. Forks are rotten so have sourced CR250 forks and triple clamps for the transplant. Just need to press the stem in. I'm sure this will cause headaches with mounting headlight and clocks but Japan won't post original forks so what do ya do? Main issues now are the oil res...

Re: Blind auction buy

The forks I bought are 52.85mm at upper clamp and 58.95 at the lower clamp.

Couple of sets of AR forks on buyee.jp but they won't post them here.😡😡

Re: Blind auction buy

Hi, Ok, it looks like I have the right yokes then. After a lot of investigation, it would appear I have purchased 1996+ CR500 forks which were labelled as CR125. I'm trying to find the thread on this forum which listed CR125 forks as a straight swap on MK3 CRM. I own a 2001 CR125 and the forks don't...

Re: Blind auction buy

Hi, Been collecting bits since I got it. NovemberEchoBravo pointed me towards buyee.jp A revelation, sooo much stuff. I don't have any bodywork yet as I was concentrating on the missing bits like servo, cables, clocks, lights etc. Still on the hunt for a loom, as any non essential parts of have been...

Fresh MK3 build

Hi all, I'm at the start of what looks like a very long ground up MK3 rebuild. Purchased the bike blind only to find a previous owner had basically turned it into a field/crosser. Only original body part is the fuel tank and all none essential electrics are gone, including wires cut at the PGM. In t...

Blind auction buy

Hi all, I have just purchased a MK3 CRM from an online auction without viewing. Big mistake, while the motor and box seem good and all swing arm and linkage bearings are tip top, all the electrics, lights and switchgear are gone. Power valve servo gone and valve jammed open with a screw! 2T oil tank...
