check that the power valve cable/s have not broken, when at stanstill rev the bike with the servo motor cover off (so you can see the cable pulley) if working the pulley should move when revved high enough, could try this with cables removed, will show if power valve is stuck

i did this mod with grease nipples, dont recommend it though 'cos couldn't pump any grease in periodically as with new seals it became air tight!!!!!!! nowhere for the grease to go

as for the wheel bearing , the spacer tube between the bearings should shift sideways a little a one of the end, enabling you to get adrift in and knock it out from the opposite end, then the second one is easy.
as for your spark plug standard or a little larger will be fine (as these plugs require ...

ive heard the noise you mentioned before after a fork rebuild on a cbr600, after a test run the springs centralised themselves and the noise disapeared, worth a try before you pull them appart.
