I road registered my CRF450 about six months ago, by default you get a Q plate. I wanted an age related plate, this was for me a two stage process, first write to honda and ask for certificate of manufacture, this meant sending them my frame, engine number and £25.00 Second the bike then had to be i...

For some reason it takes a LONG time for the oil that you put in the filler hole to reach the level hole. When changing the oil on my MK3 I put the bike on a paddock stansd, this is like a milking stool, this supports the bike and keeps it level, the stand has a large hole in the centre and I positi...

Maybe the oil is coming through the crank seal from the gearbox. The oil pump puts oil in the engine via an outlet in the inlet manifold, therefore a quick check is pull carb off after standing for a couple of days, if oil pump is problem the inlet manifold will be full. If not suspect main oil seals.

They do sound very nice, they also make the CRM feel heavy and very underpowered, hence my MK 3 is now up for sale. Lots of people say how easy it is to lift the front on a crm, you can not open up the CRF to quick in any gear on the road with out the front lifting, it is a great craic.. Will read b...

I will have a look at my manual for my CRF450 as unlike the CRM this comes with a two inch thick manual and I remember seeing that a whole chapter is devoted to the rear shock, which looks exactly the same as my CRM rear shock. I will read up about the valve you mention next time I am round my garag...

The MK 3 front sprocket is loose on the shaft by design, it is retained by an egg shapped washer which goes on after the sprocket then turns slightly to align the two holes in the washer with the two threaded holes in the sprocket, then two small bolts tighten the washer to the sprocket. The sproket...

Every Honda that I have ever owned has had a bit of clutch rattle that on tickover that stops when you pull the lever in. This go's for my CRM up to a CRF1000 I owned from new, it is just a characteristic and I am sure nothing to worry about, my CRF 450 has a louder rattle than my CRM and the 450 is...

I am interested to tag along, do not mind where it is as can put bike in van to travel. Need to sort quick though as weather changing and I am selling my CRM. If you did a weekend you where talking about a MX track on the sunday, this would suit me fine as I would bring my CRM for the greenlaning an...
My MK 3 has stood on it's tail a few times with no damage apart from if you look close at the picture of it on this site http://193.116.26.75/images/Owners/DSCF0001.JPG you can see the helmet lock is bent through 90 degree. Be careful though as the rear mudguard takes most of the impact and if you h...
