Hi Bargos,

Just a thought - maybe you should replace the bearing race's as the heat from the coating process may have taken the temper out of the steel and will leave them softer than before. :(

As I said, just a thought.

Hi

Had the same with my Mk2. Just pulled the whole sender unit to pieces and rebuilt the whole top end of it with silicone sealant and it don't leek no more.
Be careful if thats what u r going to do because it can break real easey and dont get any on the float switch thingy.

Hi Cat, Gotta agree with Russell about the running-on. Lean mixture and carbon build up don't mix and could cause the problem you have described. This may also cause poor idle.
