unless it is smoking badly i wouldnt worry about the clutch side but you should be able to see if theres a problem on the rotor seal. try smearing it with grease, might help to isolate it more. might also be worth smeering some silicone around all the joints. if thats fine then you might be a carb i...

i can bring the spare carb for you to check? doubt it has a different float but has the inner pin seized? that mightrestrict the float travel. jon

the edge of the upperbody and the bottom of the float. Dont worry about the measurement on this pic the carb is cleaned and sprayed for storage, and is not set-up.

hold the carb on its side with the pivot at the top. now slowly tip it backwards until the float needle seats. this is the point you need to measure it at. now if you tip the carb further the extra sprung pin goes in, Dont measure it from here as this will set the float too high.

yes it is and overflow pipe, check your float hight is set at 16mm (when the needle stops and before the extra bit pushes in. This will make a difference)

you will sometimes find that when it starts reving like this, your mixture is way out and the reason your kill switch doesnt work is you;ve heated up the plug and it's glowing, therefore keeping the engine going at these high revs. I've had this happen a few times on my old CR. only real way of stop...

just drill a hole on top of the airbox and push the pipe in then. you'll update the design then!!

on the MK 3 it routes up on the right hand side and into a special hole on the air box, dont know if any other mk's are the same

first thing, change all the oils and check the bearings. then give it a good run for an hour or so and listen for any noises that dont sound right. you should be ok, then enjoy the bike, they are great fun.
