Re: temperature and oil level LED wiring colour

I fitted a Trailtech clock a few years ago but wired the oil level sensor wrong and not bothered to change it, i just use the visual method. One thinhg i did sus out was the temp sender screws directly into the head, saving cutting any pipe work! When i get time i will see if i can get the wiring so...

Re: Front Fork improvements

The best improvement i made was fiting the cr250 91 forks, they were cheep and in good condition, but then needed an axle, a caliper mount, new seals. Then machineing the axle to fit the speedo drive. So in a way yes easy to do. I dont know if a new set of spring would have done the same thing, but ...

Re: Mk3 - bike runs but the indicators, lights & horn don't work

I'd say the capacitor is disconnected somehow, or has failed. that will loose you the lights or everything really except the engine.

Re: environmental mats

An enviromental mat is anything that will stop oil or fuel dropping on the ground. if it does that soil MUST be removed, either by you (if your caught) or by the event holders. this is the theory, dont know of anyone actualy being done for it though?

Re: sticking fork

when you tighten the fork clamps, dont over tighten them as that will make the forks stick, also bounce the front end a few time before tightening the axle clamps, this makes sure all is aligned.

Re: Flamin swingarm!!!!!!!

you'll find it one of the collars has siezed to the shaft, the cases wont split but you might be better off drilling the ends of the shaft off, or hacksawing the ends off inside then removing the swingarm and engine together, the shaft will then slide out easily. which ever way it will be a lot of w...

Re: Actual Rim Sizes

sorry just checked and you are correct, I have not rebiult a rear wheel only a front so assumed wrongly that the rear had 36 spokes. I would however check with the supplyer before buying that the rim is suitable.

Re: Actual Rim Sizes

CRM wheels have 36 spokes, look for crm or xr rims from the same sellar he has, a few different styles in the colours you might want or just email him to ask.
