Yes it can be done without splitting the cases, as for whether you need to replace the shaft along with the 2 bearings, well that's dependant on how knackered the shaft is! You will only know that once you have taken it out. It is a long time since I have done one, so the following may be slightly w...

Take the pipe off that leads to the inlet rubber and kick the bike over lots. 2 stroke oil should dribble out of the pipe eventually. Also make sure that arrows line up on the pump when the throttle of wide open. You can see how to adjust the cable in the manual from LT Notts, but it is reasonably o...

I had my CRM shock rebuilt by K tech in Coalville. Cost 65 quid and made a world of difference. Kev Summerton is the main man there, what he doesn't know about suspension isn't worth knowing. I would stick with the original shock and get it professionally rebuilt if I were you, K tech will get you s...

I assume you mean the alloys screew in 'cover' on the chain side? If so, I just use a punch and a hammer to get it off. I then (once off) drilled 2 holes in it and tapped them so I could screw in 2 bolts. Then when putting it on (or taking it off thereafter), you simply put a screw driver between th...

If it knocks intermittently, my does the same. I have replaced the mains, the balance shaft and bearings, all the gear box bearings recently as the mains went, however the intermittent metallic knocking still occurs! Mine has been doing it for 18 months, and no doubt it will carry on doing it! If yo...
