could be just worn but i dont think theres enough tension there to stretch them are you warming the bike up before you try to set it up? of course i could be completely wrong as mines a mk2 but i would have thought set up was the same

i was thinking the same thing when i noticed play in mine

cupid your front sprocket needs to have play in it or your chain will fall off when it shakes about (panic over it aint knackered)

try the rawbolt method honestly mate just tap a few times and it will fall out your getting equal pressure each time you hit it rather than moving each side at a time
