Re: Hello Forum!

It is definately leaking out of the pipe from the stroker oil tank?

If it was recently rebuilt, then the stroker oil would need to have been bled through. Is the bleed screw done up properly?

Re: Hello Forum!

Skip the premix completely. It's a pain and the amount of oil in the mix is only correct for when you are flat out - any other time you are only coking up your motor or belching smoke.

And I'll beat fallenmike's offer with an offer of £21.34 and a bag of cheesy whotsits.

Re: CRM250 AR starting? anyone? HELP!

Mine's a Mk3, but if it's stood for some time it can take a bit of jumping up and down. The best trick I've come across is to tilt the bike over until petrol comes out the overflow on the carb, then yank it upright, bung the choke on and give it a prod. It'll generally fire up second kick then. Give...

Re: Rear Brake Leaking

My local Honda shop will source any Honda parts for imports - they just ask for a frame number to verify the exact model.

Re: Brake Pads ! and fitting ?

Moving the pistons back: shove the old pads back in loosly - then wedge 2 large flat screwdrivers between them and lever them back. Generally works a treat and doesn't mark any parts that will stay on the bike. Anti-rattle springs: Mine broke - my brakes now should rattle, but I can't hear them over...

Re: Carb breather

I kept having grief with mud bunging up the breather on the standard setup causing the slide to stick in the 'fully up' position due to the vacuum (often resulting in the rider and bike to end up in the 'fully lying down in the mud' position). I stuck longer tubes on and routed them up by (but not i...

There's a thin piece that slides over the shaft and then rotates round so that it won't come off again - then 2 bolts go through it into the sprocket.

That kinda makes sense in my head. Am I making sense when you look at the picture?

I'm trying to picture how yours if held on with circlips.

The LT one I bought had brackets with it that hook over the frame and bolt to guard.

They were able to supply a replacement when I managed to misplace one.

The idea is that a small bit of muck may have got wedged in the seal. **Disclaimer**: I read this on the interweb and have never tried it. Please don't blame me if it's rubbish. Pop the dust cover off and carefully slide the thinnest feeler guage you can find between the fork seal and the stantion t...

No need to bin the carb. There's probably just some stale petrol that's formed nasty yellowy deposits in one of the channels. Carb cleaner won't shift it, but getting the card ultrasonically cleaned will.

I had grief with this on a set of carbs a while back and doing this sorted it out a treat.
