Re: dep exhausts
I now understand your question but do not know the answer. The link is to the DEP site and does not seem to help either. It shows the Mk3 and AR were the same pipes and different to the MK1+2 but I can't make out any stamping. https://www.deppipes.com/product-listings/honda/2-stroke/250cc-plus-14/cr...

Re: dep exhausts
The Mk1 +2 is definitely different. I know people have said that the Mk3 one is different as well but for some reason I think I have a AR DEP pipe fitted to my Mk3. I don't think there is a lot of difference just in the length of the pipe and the flange fittings but it's a long time ago when I was f...

Re: T.T.F.N.?
Sad to see you go Mike but I guess you will still be looking in. Mine is still waiting to be resurrected, just need more than 24 hours in a day and two weekend a week and it will be done. I am interested in a rear wheel, C02 and a kick start if the wheel is rot free and we can sort out reasonable po...

Re: Couple of questions.
Pretty sure calipers are the same across most honda dirt bikes inc.many of the XRs and crfs. The hangers are different on the 2005 +crfs but the caliper is the same. A good guide will be if they use the same brake pads.

Re: Couple of questions.
It is worth scraping the edge of the fork seal with a thin feeler guage or piece of plastic to clean any dirt that may have lodged there. This is often the cause of weeping oil on upside down forks especially if you have recently changed the seals. If you want to spend money here is a link to some t...

Re: Honda crf 250 foot pegs
No they will not fit as they are a different fitting. The CRM uses the same fitting as most of the XR's These are cheap and should be ok provided you are not in a hurry. Obviously all the other fancy pegs for XR's will also fit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MX-WIDE-Footpeg-Foot-Pegs-for-Honda-CR80-XR250...

Re: oil pump oil seal and balance shaft
The balance shaft bearing/shaft when it goes is a very distinctive high pitched whirling noise and not a slight rattle.
A slight rattle or knock sounds more like the clutch so you might be lucky and not have anything to do.

Re: crank seals which ones
Has anyone got the sizes of the crankseals to hand. I have had a look at the FAQ but could not find them.
I would like to try some Vitron ones.

Re: Loss of top end power + temp warning light
I know this is an old post, but was this issue able to be resolved. My crm250ar is doing the same. Even from dead cold, the temp light comes on as soon as I rev the engine. I was going to try and find a new voltage regulator, unless anyone has a better idea. If the light comes on when you rev it an...

Its a shame that yours has been a bad experience. Mine has been 100% positive from when I joined in 2006. I have got to my local meetings when I could and been led and led many great trail rides. No need for secret handshakes just a willingness to meet people at the meetings and rides out although t...
