whats it worth???

looking to sell my crm and looking for rough price i should be lookin for,i know its only worth whatever some1 will bay for it but i just need a starting point :)
its a 1992 mk2.2its had
powdercoated frame
new fork seals
new wheel bearings and seals
rebore with new weisco piston
new gasket set ...

anyone changed gearbox bearings?

The internal bearing for the output shaft has a grove around the outside edge,the bigger bearing closest to the cog.I never noticed this before i got it out the case :oops: ,does anyone know which way it goes in?grove in first?

as i was building it up i knew i should have changed them but they seemed ok :? never mind will just have to whip the box out and replace them,shouldnt take to long :roll: :lol:

flywheel

had the cover off the flywheel just checking all was still tight,the nut was tight but i could feel some up/down side to side movement in the flywheel,not much just wondering if this is normal :o also it was the same with the balance shaft but i could see the movement in the balance shaft :o is this ...

yes i have one of those crm manual from leisure trail that come with the bike that has an exploded view of the clutch,it did seem very odd to me the amount of play,i know of the washer you talk about and am sure it was fitted as i had the exploded view in front of me as it was built plus i dont have ...

think i may have found the problem with this,got the right side cover off today and the centre of the clutch was all tight the springs etc got all the plates of the nut behind was tightend but there was some play in the back part of the clutch(the bit with the big cog on) about a a couple of mill ...

bike passed the mot today :D have started to strip parts to get the clutch side cover off exhaust,drained coolent etc,have left the bike overnight to drain gearbox oil tho the oil seemed fine with no bits on from what i could tell.If the clutch basket bearing has gone am i right in thinking that ...

heres a video of it,as the time counts down the best sound of the noise is from 1:07 to 1:04 that gives the best sound of what its like,you can hear it in the rest but not as well as the camera was against the bike,the sound has been amped up on the vid.

gearbox noises?

How noisy are crm gearboxes?i can hear a noise coming from the clutch side of the box,i can hear in on tickover,pulling the clutch doesnt have any affect.The bike runs sweet all gears are fine smoth as anything,the only way i can describe it is that it sounds like you can hear the cogs in the box ...

i wouldnt have thought it would matter to much if its not that bad,but seen as you can notice it without a machine id say best to take them to a garage and get them to do them,shouldnt cost to much and will save your wheel bearings :)
