Re: ActionSouthWest H&H 13th April Bickleigh, Devon.
Well April was a long time ago. The week after the event I felt really sh1t and it turned out to be Glandular Fever. So that explains why I got so suprisingly extra tired so quickly. Anyway, that is all gone now. So is the CRM, that enduro blew it up, I'm sure I overevved it but I did make it up som...

Re: ActionSouthWest H&H 13th April Bickleigh, Devon.
Well, that one lap took me 1 hour 54 minutes but someone else took 1 hour 57 minutes. So I wasn't the slowest!
The fastest were doing laps in less than 8 minutes, which is rather humbling....

Re: ActionSouthWest H&H 13th April Bickleigh, Devon.
I completed 1 lap, doesn't sound a lot, it only took me 28 minutes riding time for 1 lap. It was the one and a half hours resting as I went around that screwed it up! The thing that really suprised me was the changes in terrain. Wide open muddy fields and grassy hillclimbs. Steep rocky rooty oh sh1t...

Re: ActionSouthWest H&H 13th April Bickleigh, Devon.
Another thing about mooses. I quoted a pressure of approx. 8psi, that was on a rear wheel in a trials tyre. I've changed my rear to a V Rubber 211 motox/enduro and the moose gives it what feels like 14psi. This is because the cross section of a trials tyre is wider than a motocross tyre. If you aren...

I can't guarantee that they are brand new though. Mooses do shrink after a while.

Re: ActionSouthWest H&H 13th April Bickleigh, Devon.
In my experience, 5hrs, mooses give you so much more grip. They run at the equivalent of about 8psi. They are not too bad to get on, as long as you use lots of washing up liquid to lubricate the moose before fitting and then use a mixture of washing up liquid/water to wet the rim of the tyre. Oh, us...

Re: ActionSouthWest H&H 13th April Bickleigh, Devon.
On Thursday I spent the day with Rob Wrayford (ACU accredited coach) at one of his enduro schools. See http://www.dirtybiking.com/rwes for details. Ignore the dates on this page, the contact numbers are correct though. I feel a lot less worried about my first event now. I had a pucture (Vee Rubber E...

OK, thanks. I drilled them this morning and more rusty water came out. Just the gear change side though.knackeredMk1 wrote:Yes - I think mine has some.

Water in rear subframe....
I took the pillion footrests off the CRM tonight. As I removed the securing bolts on the gear change side footrest quite a bit of water came out of the holes. Anybody else experienced this? Would it be worth drilling a small hole at the bottom of that section to drain any water which is still in the...
