Hi all, stripped and rebuilt the engine this weekend. Didnt find reason for loss of gearbox oil, but rebuilt it with new main bearings and crank seals so I hope that will settle it. Thanks for the info. Might not get chance to have another look till the weekend but I will post what I find.
Do you know if the engine will burn gearbox oil by pulling it past the crankshaft seals or do I have another problem to look for?

My Mk 2 has started squealing loudly, a bit like a slipping belt on a car. Any ideas please?

Pleased to say the bike is up a running again, and all the lights work bar the right indicators, which I think must be a bad connection, broken wire or something similar. Ran out of time to finish off, but all the other lights definitetly work, and without a capacitor at the back of the number plate ...

Thats brilliant slider.The colours pretty much tie in with what the previous owner had written on the back of the manual, and I am pleased about the capacitor.
