Re: Swindonian LDT

Hello Mike - good to meet you bud - nice bike  I ended up hooking up with 3 chaps from Glastonbury and riding with them. Some of those stages were a learning experience for sure..... I managed to get through some clean and enjoyed the last one - set a time of 22,76 sec. Results are in th...

Gwyn - definitely glad I did it - don't think it could possibly be any harder than that in future

Stowboy - I'd definitely be up for that. I've just joined the Swindon MCC and am submitting my ACU license application - I want to do Cirencester park next year.

My 1st H&H

Last weekend (02/12) I entered my 1st Hare and Hound event at Weavers Down near Petersfield - was my 1st attempt at a H&H and man, what an eye-opener that was..... I don't think we could've asked for worse conditions - it was raining all day with a howling wind - the 7 mile circuit was mud a...

I've just bought an AR as well Greg and from what I've read and been told, what you say is right. The AR comes into it's own apparantly where you're looking for traction - seems to find it better than those with peakier power. I could be wrong and I'm sure someone will smack me on the head pronto if...

when I had the carb off I saw the cable for the TPS and thought... "I don't remember disconnecting that..." Hunted around and found the matching plug for it on the top of the frame - plugged in and runs sweet now. Roll on next weekend 8)

AR surging with closed throttle?

Hi guys I picked up my AR last weekend and she's lovely but, having not owned one of these before, I'm not sure that this is right.... On a closed throttle, she surges / hunts which means she lurches - ie. not smooth on deceleration. The moment I start opening the throttle, she pulls smoothly. I had...

Thanks guys - exactly the info I needed. Now to go get some decent knobblies - the bike's got bridgestone trailwings on which feel good on the road but in speaking to a chap at work who's done this sort of thing, he recommended I get some more appropriate tyres. Off to ring Leisure Trail......

Jumping in feet 1st

I've entered the Team REME 3 hour Hare & Hound on December 2nd down in Hampshire. As this is going to be my 1st event I was hoping I could pick your brains guys? Clothing? What to wear? I've got motocross kit which I bought last year when I had a KTM400EXC but only went off road with it a couple of ...

Thanks for the info Gwyn - I might have to pay your area a visit - from what I've seen so far, whether you're on or off-road, the riding down your way is superb.
