Tom i am registering a couple of CR250's at the moment so am quite versed with this 1 - Get a NOVA number, you need to register in the HMRC website, enter the bikes details and if there is any duty owing, pay it then the chassis is registered with a NOVA number - needed before step 5 2 - Get an MOT ...

I bought the same compression tester and tested mine last night.
a few kicks i saw a constant 150 which while higher that yours - is still a bit low.

also it came from nothing to whiring within 1 session of hard use - i do seem to recall it got fired down the gears a bit hard to may have over revved - oops anyway its only got to do cadwell this coming weekend for 2 days on track and then it can be retired / rebuilt i had a go on a KTM660 - wow wh...

yep it is a whiring sound you are correct, it does sound like a worn bearing noise that increases with revs

I noticed after the oil change and 2 sessions in to the track day that there was a distinct roughness coming from the lower part of the engine. it starts, goes and runs just as well as it always has - but sounds a bit - well rumbly to be honest i dont think it's mains as the flywheel has zero play o...

I havn't no, not got a tester myself. it just sounds "a little looser" than it used too 3 years ago prior to 1500 miles flat out on track lol. If anything like my NSR it will all be within tolerance and a freshen would make a big difference. I also noticed my fingers were starting to tingle more the...
