Re: Facebook page?

Call me a luddite but I just can't bring myself to sign up to Facebook. Whether it's due to the prevalence of mongs or the fact that all useful information seems to be quickly engulfed by an ocean of bollocks... At least with a forum the information is fairly accessible and the quality of the conte...

Re: CRM power loss

Is there any possibility that the engine has a limiter? Mine does not wheelie with 1st or 2nd gear. No, or least not as standard. Your bike seems to lack power, what final gearing is it running? As I said trying to diagnose a fault on a 2T is always tricky, and from a thousand miles away somewhat h...

Re: CRM power loss

I try it with out the end can and does the same. I cant figure out if the main can of the exhaust is full of oil... how i will figure it out? The same way, take it off and either burn it out, or use caustic soda [ with extreme care] and dissolve out the oil. Oven cleaner fluid will also work, a pro...

Re: CRM power loss

If it has primarily been used for commuting, it might require an exhaust de-coke, and repacking of the exhaust material. Two strokes are beautifully simple in operation, UNTIL something goes wrong, then many faults masquerade themselves as something else, and only by elimination can the true fault b...

What main jet is currently in the carb?
What exhaust system is on the bike, D.E.P. or standard?

Re: CRM power loss

The issue with your carb/bike is unlikely to be the pilot jet as this only affects the first 25% of throttle. If the bike is starting easily it's probably the case the pilot jet is clean, but give it a quick once over. If the problem you have is fuel related it will almost certainly be either a main...

Re: CRM power loss

The middle position is generally standard. Move it one notch at a time, richer [ clip up ] or leaner [ clip down ]. The colour of the plug, and the engines responsiveness will dictate which way to go. You may also need a main jet, jetting change, one way or the other, which will mean returning the ne...

Re: CRM power loss

Sorry, I just re-read your original post, if the carb has been cleaned by a mechanic unfamiliar with the bike there's a good chance he has reassembled the carb incorrectly, which might also explain the fuel leak !! Check the carb for correct assembly of all moving parts, seals/ O-rings. Check also t...

Re: CRM power loss

Start with the basics, what condition is the plug in ? What colour is it ?, Is the exhaust clear and not dribbling out oil? Check the needle position, it would more than likely take a position raising of the clip, [ this lowers the needle and weakens the mixture allowing better combustion] IF it's n...
