Re: Ryedale
Hi Tony, just re-read your post, I raced enduro's and retired 15 years ago, got the bug to ride offroad again and starting greenlaning on a 525exc 2 years ago, did a couple of enduro's last year and thouroughly enjoyed myself. I have a passion for Jap bikes of the 80's & 90's so the CRM seemed a lo...

Re: Team Mudface Mk3 rebuild
I think the holes look pretty good actually. Well noticed Mark on routing the brake house. Tell you what I think would finish the bike off..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pro-carbon-upper-fork-guards-125-500cc-/290845920990?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item43b7c48ede Shaun. Re: Team Mudface Mk3 rebuild
Nice bike Tony :BB . I bow to your experience with rallies but I thought you didn't need have to have indicators on. CRMs are so recognisable, don't scrutineers know they are 'trail bikes' :?: Had to ask - Do you think those holes in the frame guards will make it noticably lighter :?: ;) Some clubs...

Re: Team Mudface Mk3 rebuild
Indicators are needed to be in the trail class, otherwise some clubs are likely to bump you up to the sports class.Active Rascal wrote:Indicators though?? :O Haha.

The entries for the 2013 for sports bike and trail bike classes opens at 7pm this Wednesday (13th Feb). It filled up in less than an hour last time so fingers crossed and I'm hoping for a fast broadband connection.

Re: Team Mudface Mk3 rebuild
The bike is now 99% complete, with just a few nuts and bolts to sort, the chain to replace and getting the seat cover to fit correctly http://i743.photobucket.com/albums/xx78/mudfacetony/Mudface%20Mk3%20CRM%20rebuild/finishedRHS_zpsbac9ec4b.jpg http://i743.photobucket.com/albums/xx78/mudfacetony/Mud...

Re: Recovering a seat
You will not get the staples in behind the plastic side supports unless you use the thin air stapler as used by upholsters. The plastic is a hard plastic and the first seat I did (and have done may over the years) is not as good as the one done for £10 at the local upholsters, so I had it stapled a...

Re: Tidying up....
I will be racing my 400 this year so my CRM has to go. I have afew questions.... My frame will be sent off for powder coating once i have stripped it down. I know the swingarm bearings can be a knightmare so they will be soaked in oil. The question is how hard is it going to be to assemble the bike...

Re: Riding tips
ps whys it a nono to go prepared for obstacles in the UK? I been riding around with a saw in my back pack recently - its certainly helped! If you took a set of bolt croppers with you to cut open gates (even if these gates are obstructing a highway) you can done for criminal damage. Sounds daft that...

Re: Team Mudface Mk3 rebuild
Now most of the snow has gone, here we have the almost finished article. No seat cover yet (hopefully next weekend). The graphics on the rad panels have been a pig to do and some finishing off to do with them as well. I'm not looking forward to the side panels. HEL are shortening the rear brake line...
