Good evening chaps. AR's been laid up since about September. Tried to start it but got nothing till I put some petrol in the cylinder and then won't run off choke till its been running for ten minutes. Idle when warm is erratic and sounds very lean running.... if I turn the mixture screw fully in it...
There is loads in the north east, you just need to look harder. Why do you not want to join thr trf? if it was not for them, you would not be able to ride anywhere
Well i could just look harder, or you could just share what you know.

Re: Yorkshire Moors / Cleveland Hills.
Go join the TRF Teeside group. They have regular ride outs in the area. Well worth the £40 fee
I don't really want to join the TRF i was just looking for places to ride.
I'm from Newcastle / Sunderland and there isn't much around here so i'm willing to travel.

Yorkshire Moors / Cleveland Hills.

Anyone on here from that area?
I was heading into Whitby last Sunday and saw a group of about 10, mainly KTM's heading North from the town.I saw them again in the centre of Scarborough about 2 hours later.I was wondering where they had been.Any good places to ride around there?

Re: AR no spark.

Today i tried one of the pulse generators from forum member 'briangoo's' MK 2 on my AR and got a spark! It seems the rear one on mine is faulty. When i tried mine on bri's bike it started and then cut out and would not re-start, just like it does on mine. Anyone got a pair of these they want to sell ...

Re: AR no spark.

Ok, i've figured out why the lights are switching off in time with the misfire. It seems that the main lights and indicators are switched on by the ECU via a relay. If the ECU is not powered up then the lights won't work. When i ran an earth to the relay the lights came on when i kicked it over. I know...

Re: AR no spark.

Update : Checked resistance of ignition pick ups and they seem to check out ok. Removed generator and had a general poke around...checking wiring connections and cleaned that earth wire in there. Checked the feeds to the ECU for continuity. Connected a volt meter to the regulator output and with the...

My tax, mot, insurance is due soon and i'd like to get some riding in before forking out.

AR no spark.

Ok, out riding up in Kielder the bike started to misfire so i stopped and changed the plug....no difference. When i throttled off it would cut out completely so i had to keep the revs up to get back to the van...pretty scary as i couldn't remember where i'd parked it and had to ride around for a bit!...

Broken AR owner.

Good evening all.Yes my AR i've owned for nearly 4 years is broken. Can't complain as it's the first time it's let me down.I thought this might be the right place for help in fixing it and finding places to ride in the North East and such like.
